Long-Term Commitment
During this impactful collaboration, Oregon State University and AstroAI signed an agreement, in which AstroAI promises to annually donate 50 units of its 130B multimeters (full model number: ASIDM130B-D) and 80 units of its 33D multimeters (full model number: ASIMT33D-D) to Oregon Sate University, starting from Jan. 1st, 2023 to Jan. 1st, 2028. This five-year donation, valued at $14,743.5, is dedicated to facilitating teaching in the Physics Department at Oregon State University with reliable multimeters, helping them ignite the spark of knowledge among the young minds.
Why AstroAI 33D Multimeter?
After a thorough analysis of the introductory class at Oregon State University, we discovered that our product, the 33D, is the perfect match for their needs.
This multimeter can cover all the basic physics testing required in the class, including AC/DC voltage, DC current, resistance, and diode testing. Its manual range function allows the students to adjust the range manually, gaining a better understanding of the operations.
The two anti-burn ceramic fuses protect from overloading for enhanced safety.
Additionally, with its data hold function and built-in kickstand, it provides added convenience for students to record data.
Why AstroAI 130B Multimeter?
The AstroAI 130B Multimeter accurately tests AC/DC voltage, AC/DC current, resistance, continuity, capacitance, diodes, and batteries. Its NCV (No-contact voltage) function minimizes exposure to live wires. This model is born for this class.However, upon further investigation, we noticed that when using the test probes, students had to hold them, causing troubles for recording purposes. That's why we have included alligator clips in the package, allowing for a more hands-free operation. With more advanced testing comes the need for additional accessories. We also observed that after testing, the accessories tended to be scattered around the laboratory, increasing the likelihood of losing some parts. To address this, we have meticulously prepared a storage bag to keep the accessories organized and readily available for future use.
